City Post Chophouse began its story in the 1930s as a U.S. Post Office in the midst of the Great Depression and Prohibition. Nearly a century later, the beautifully renovated historic building hosts guests for finer dining, live music, and private events.
Refined steakhouse, oyster bar, and butcher shop, with a special events venue located on the second level.
Classy but never pretentious, City Post Chophouse encourages a “Texas formal” (casual elegant) dress code in the main dining room for dinner service. Collared shirts for men are recommended. Our dress code prohibits excessively torn, tattered or dirty clothing, workout/exercise gear, gym shorts, cutoff shorts, bare feet, sweatshirts/hoodies, and ball caps.
